Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is an essential component of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Moreover, C2BMC is a key element in all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of various technical leads and collaborate with team members, C2BMC management, and government clients to deliver high-quality products on time and within available resources.
Essential Functions:

Integration of product lines, development of responsible sections for capability specifications, DOORS processes and procedures, review of technical product content and details, and acting as a technical interface with MDA working level counterparts as needed

This position will provide cross-functional support for requirements management and DOORS administration

Perform DOORS administration for COS and HSV; create modules for these sites

Synchronize modules between sites

Create DOORS reports (e.g., specifications traceability and metrics), address user problems (e.g., installation, password modifications)

Element Specification (ES) Coordination:

Produce monthly detailed ES reports, generate summary ES for delivery to the government, and maintain different ES formats in DOORS (such as Spiral Work on technical performance measures (TPMs)

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured and logical approach, develop a requirements management schema and attributes

Excellent communication skills required (both written and oral), with the ability to clearly and effectively present technical approaches and findings

Capable of executing engineering plans within a project

Must have the ability to be part of a team responsible for maintaining the physical, functional, and technical baseline requirements that define the capabilities of an ongoing BMDS Battle Management, Command & Control, and Communications (C2BMC) effort, using the DOORS tool as an experienced administrator

Managing system and component baselines within a requirements management system:

Defining the relationships between internal and external components

Communicating the desired component relationships to a diverse group of customers, developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users

Creating system and element specifications for functionality, performance, and interfaces to document and manage the realization of desired capabilities

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
