This highly visible role supports the Advanced & Strategic Operations Global Supply Chain Organization and plays a critical part in strengthening the resilience of our supply base. This position can be hired at either: Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Business Operations Compliance Specialist.
Our Risk Governance group identifies and mitigates risks that may impact the health of our Sector's Supply Chain. We proactively alert operations teams to potential risks, enabling early mitigation and shifting the organization from reactive to proactive. Leveraging data-driven intelligence, we inform strategic decisions that protect both our business and our mission.

This position is based out of our Linthicum, MD facility and offers a hybrid work option.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, assess, and report on supplier risks, including financial health, operational stability, and geopolitical factors.
Present complex supply chain risk topics to external stakeholders, including executive leadership, in a clear and accessible manner to support informed decision-making.
Support compliance activities to ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS/ITAR and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI and other tools to communicate supply chain risk insights to leadership.
Partner with sourcing, engineering, and program-management teams to develop mitigation strategies for sole-source and high-risk suppliers.
Represent the organization on specific projects and will manage, develop, and/or support strategic direction and execution of risk governance through policy, procedure, and processes
Gather, analyze, and harmonize data from multiple systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, supplier databases) to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
Lead the Supplier Advisory Council to foster strong supplier partnerships, enhance collaboration, and support Northrop Grumman's goal of being a customer of choice.
Drive process improvements across compliance, data analytics, systems, and operational excellence initiatives.
Basic Qualifications for Band 2 Supply Chain Business Operations & Compliance Specialist:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in supply chain, business management, compliance, or data analytics.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Band 2 Supply Chain Business Operations & Compliance Specialist:
Experience with SAP and SharePoint.
Experience with financial assessment tools such as RapidRatings and Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).
Engineering component systems experience (e.g., CADSTAR ISE, MPLM).
Experience in regulatory compliance, data analytics, and financial statement analysis.
Experience with FAR, DFARS, and ITAR requirements.
Experience building dashboards in PowerBI
Basic Qualifications for Band 3 Principal Supply Chain Business Operations & Compliance Specialist:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in supply chain, business management, compliance, or data analytics; or Master's degree with a minimum 3 years of professional experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Band 3 Principal Supply Chain Business Operations & Compliance Specialist
Experience with SAP and SharePoint.
Experience with financial assessment tools such as RapidRatings and Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $105,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $87,000.00 - $130,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
