The qualified applicant will be exposed to all phases of the program life cycle from concept development through integration, test and support. Job Responsibilities:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support-ability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Tasks will also include network hardware/software design, integration, and test. System test bench design and support including general IT administration. Support of external interfaces modeling/simulation software and hardware, as well as, Navy specific shipboard support activities.

Travel: Occasionally, typically not more than 20%
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with 12 years of experience, or 10 years with a Master's Degree and 7 years of experience with a Ph.D.
Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skills.
Proficiency with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters
Experience with analog electronics (e.g. sensor interfaces), digital electronics, control circuit cards, and embedded software
Experience in testing and troubleshooting hardware and software
Experience in one or more of these domains Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power Systems, Control Systems, or Embedded Processing
Exposure to computer administration, system networking, real-time computing
Problem-solving experience in a team environment
Exposure to U.S. naval surface and underwater ship systems
U.S. Citizen with active Confidential Security Clearance. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skills.
Experience as a technical lead with demonstrated team building, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in system architecture development and system design
Experience with simulation tools (e.g. Simulink, Saber, SPICE),
Experience with the United States Navy or other military departments
Experience with nuclear power generation and software enabled real time control systems.

Salary Range: $155,400.00 - $233,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
