We are seeking a candidate for the position of Staff Systems Engineer - System Architecture to support Advanced Technology development programs. This position will serve on site in Linthicum Heights or Annapolis Junction, MD or Beavercreek, OH.
What You'll Get to Do:
Design and development of system architectures and definition of key capabilities and performance requirements
Define the system implementation approach and operational concept of operations
Ensure the systematic conversion of customer or product needs into total systems solutions
Perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition studies translating customer needs into hardware and software requirements and specifications
Support capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and demonstrations, and competitor analysis
Maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and developing strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next-generation applications
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining a US Government security clearance per customers' requirements.
This position will serve on-site in one of these area locations: Linthicum Heights, Annapolis Junction, MD., or Beavercreek, OH
Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Systems Architecture:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience
Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle
Demonstrated experience defining systems behavior
Experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
Experience working directly with assorted customer communities to extract and refine customer need into a developed/conceptual system
High proficiency in technical problem solving; to include decomposition, root cause analysis, and solution development
Track record of customer problems/needs to innovative solutions
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements prior to start
Preferred Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Systems Architecture:
Experience across the entire lifecycle of the systems engineering development lifecycle.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Experience working with CAMEO or other similar MBSE management tools
Various experience across different stages of the product lifecycle
12 years of direct relevant experience within systems development or similar capacity
Masters in Systems Engineering
Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements

Salary Range: $155,400.00 - $256,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
