The Staff Systems Architect role will be in charge of leading our Open Architecture Management (OAM) development program.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will lead our Open Mission Systems / Universal C2 Initiative (OMS/UCI) team. This includes representing Northrop Grumman during OAM consortium meetings, leading designs and requirements changes to the OAM standards, and supporting customer presentations. Additionally, these efforts will include detailed planning and execution of numerous incremental performance demonstrations at Northrop Grumman and customer facilities.
Functions:
Lead the consortium through system designs and requirements derivation
Lead architecture definition and complex system problem solving in support of OMS/UCI Standards change development
Lead the design, development, and documentation of the OMS/UCI Standard using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Collaborate with OAM Chief Architect(s) to build out Systems Engineering artifacts in support of standards development for incorporation into Northrop Grumman adopting programs
Dive into the intricacies of test data, uncovering insights that drive innovation and excellence
Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and passion to cultivate future leaders in the field
Present your analysis results to senior leaders and customers, highlighting the impact of your work
Support Cost Accounting Management (CAM) related activities
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years with an MS; 7 years with PhD and an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with requirements development and flow-down
Experience in OMS architecture development
Excellent communication skills are required internally and externally given the numerous targeted working groups with the customer technical community
Experience with system integration and test is a must, especially as it relates to planning and executing targeted demonstrations for risk reduction
Active DoD Secret security clearance prior to starting
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
Previous work experience with advanced OMS Change Packages
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP) prior to starting.
Salary Range: $155,400.00 - $233,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
