Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Staff Engineer Logistics. We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Engineer Logistics based out of Orlando, FL. As a Staff Engineer Logistics at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Cross-Domain Handling of Releasable Data (CHORD) portfolio. CHORD is a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) two-domain Cross Domain Solution (CDS). The CHORD portfolio comprises multiple contract awards and with various customers. Roles and Responsibilities:
The Staff Engineer Logistics will be responsible for leading Product Support activities across a program portfolio.
This person will review and establish processes for effective and comprehensive sustainment of product line activities and individual contracts.
They will establish and maintain the plans and procedures for fielding, sustainment, and support.
The Staff Engineer Logistics will maintain awarenss of sustainment status, plan logistics activities, and communicate status and challenges with program leadership.
The successful candidate shall have experience leading logistics activities to complete the mission, be proactive, forward-looking, and able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, end users, engineering, and program management.
Reviews logistics and sustainment requirements and establishes processes
Recommends tool and test equipment
Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy.
Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related technical experience; Master's degree in a relevant field and 10 years of related technical experience, or PHD in a relevant field and 8 years of related technical experience
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coordinating directly with customers and end users for logistics and sustainment activities
Experience leading logistics and sustainment activities for a large and complex software system for a US DoD Customer
Experience leading logistics and sustainment activities for a software system within a "system of systems" environment
Experience supporting logistics activities for Government run fully integrated testing facilities within a "systems of systems" environment prior to fielding
Experience fielding a software system on site at government facilities within a "systems of systems" environment
Experience leading a team to manage the logistics activities throughout the entire lifecycle of a large and complex software system
* Experience coordinating with external suppliers
Salary Range: $111,000.00 - $166,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
