The HRBP will serve as a strategic business partner, providing day-to-day support to the Sentinel Program leadership team helping to achieve program objectives and will report to the Sentinel HR Director. Overview of the Role:
The selected candidate will help lead and support the implementation of Sentinel human capital programs and core processes including but not limited to talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness and leadership development.
The role requires strategic leadership thought, organizational and project management skills in a high paced environment, ability to influence and interface with stakeholders at all levels, strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, ability to collaborate in a complex matrixed environment, ability to leverage data and analytics to drive business outcomes and a results-oriented focus aligned to our business goals, leadership behaviors, and values.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Establishing an intimate understanding of the business, building and expanding relationships with client leadership teams, and creating close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE's), finance, and P&L organizations.
Supporting and partnering with HR colleagues in operations, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, diversity and inclusion and organizational effectiveness to support talent strategies.
Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and developing solutions in partnership with division and matrix leadership, COE and functional HR business leadership.
Advising leadership on new ideas and winning practices in the areas of assessment, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, on-boarding, change management and communications.
Analyzing and concisely presenting information to the management team to enable business growth and sound decision making.
Providing business insight through data analysis, research and benchmarking.
Playing a key leadership role in the company's transformation by reinforcing a culture of growth, innovation and calculated risk taking through the application of human capital strategy, tools and processes.
Supporting and enabling leaders to make informed decisions about talent and holding their organizations accountable for business results.
Project managing multiple HR projects to include: planning, organizing, implementing, and completing the projects simultaneously on topics within various HR work streams.
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field required plus 12+ years of experience in HR - OR - 10+ years of experience with a Master's degree. An additional four years of human resources experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
Understanding and application of HR principles, concepts, policies and practices
Experience supporting and/or implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Adaptability and resilience; able to change course when needed and operate in an ambiguous environment.
This position requires up to 25% travel in support of the business
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with large scale program HR support
Experience across multiple HR disciplines
Experience with all aspects of human resources processes, including talent management, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, organizational effectiveness and leadership development
* Experience with Workday human resources information system
Salary Range: $122,100.00 - $183,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
