This position, located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a crucial role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not offered for this position, and the role requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a key operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability that delivers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial part of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
Essential Functions:

Analyze real-world data related to Missile Defense and Space Domain Awareness
As a member of an Agile Scrum team, develop and deliver features and stories aligned with program objectives
Gather and interpret real-world data
Create new algorithms to utilize the data effectively
Continuously update existing algorithms based on new data
The primary work location is the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) at Schriever AFB, CO

Possess a robust analysis background that spans multiple disciplines, enabling effective data filtering to predict future ballistic missile threat scenarios
Experience in performance analysis and characterization of large-scale complex system simulations, focusing on ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command and control architecture
Must have a working or theoretical understanding of ballistic or non-ballistic missile defense concepts, including Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, defense communication systems, and the Missile Defense System (MDS)
Basic Qualifications:
Please include your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related field with 4 years of relevant work experience
Applicants must hold a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Must possess data analytics skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and filter large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform predictions of future ballistic missile threat states
Knowledge of system engineering principles and practices is also required, including system design, development, testing, and evaluation, as applied to ballistic missile systems and associated command and control systems
Must have experience in analyzing and characterizing ballistic missile threats, including threat systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and the ability to predict future threats based on trends and patterns
Must demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical disciplines that underpin ballistic missile threat analysis and prediction, including the ability to integrate and analyze data from diverse sources to inform predictive models and simulations
A solid foundation in math and physics is necessary, along with experience using tools like MATLAB to analyze complex data and develop realistic scenarios that support the analysis and testing of missile defense systems
Preferred Qualifications:

A DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is highly preferred
Specific knowledge of one or more of the MDS elements listed below is highly desired:
C2BMC
AN/TPY-2
LRDR
BOA
SBIRS
GMB
Aegis BMD
PATRIOT

Familiarity with operating systems like Unix/Linux
Experience with Agile Scrum and continuous integration methods is preferred
Experience with scenario generation is also a plus

Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
