Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO in supporting the development and maturation of Ground System designs and architecture as the program progresses. The ideal candidate will contribute to the refinement of the system's technical baseline by mapping requirements to models, updating system design artifacts, and verifying compliance with customer requirements using industry-standard tools and processes. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring the successful execution of deliverables to meet program milestones.
Responsibilities:

Provide Systems Engineering oversight and coordination with a variety in internal and external teams to architecture aligns with requirements.
Lead in the maturation of Ground System design and architecture to meet PDR/CDR-level requirements.
Develop and maintain system models in CAMEO, ensuring requirements are mapped, aligned, and traceable to architecture and design.
Update and finalize Internal Block Diagrams (IBDs), Activity Diagrams, and other critical system design artifacts.
Interface closely with Requirements Management and Engineering teams to ensure verification planning and execution aligns with customer requirements.
Support requirements sell-off and provide technical input to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Engage in architecture design reviews and contribute to technical problem-solving efforts to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Basic Qualifications:

8 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science in a STEM degree; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Demonstrated experience in CAMEO or other Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools for architecture design.
Expertise in architecting systems and developing requirements to support system designs.
Hands-on experience with interpreting and mapping requirements into implementable models and configurations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application
Preferred Qualifications:

Verification and Validation (V&V) experience, including knowledge of verification planning and artifact development.
Strong understanding of Verification Artifacts Matrix (VAM) development and applications.
Experience with requirements sell-off, including customer and stakeholder engagements.
Systems engineering experience supporting PDR/CDR-level design or later lifecycle phases.
Familiarity with configuration management approaches and best practices in system development.
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
