Position Overview:
The Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a necessary operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC offers layered missile defense capabilities, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally,
C2BMC is a critical component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
This position is for a skilled Emerging Authority Software Developer to support a C2BMC product team in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will support the Global User Interface (GUI) team.
Essential Functions:
Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field, providing solutions to a wide range of complex problems with innovative and thorough approaches
Works under general direction, with results reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results often leads to significant program delays and substantial resource expenditures
Frequent interaction with internal and external customers, representing the organization by providing solutions to complex technical issues related to specific projects
Basic Qualifications:
Please include your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start and be eligible for Top Secret clearance with (TS/SCI) SCI access
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs
Recent experience with:
Java or C++ software development
Software Testing
Software Integration
Preferred Qualifications:
A current and active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance with eligibility to be cleared at SCI clearance
Previous internship as a software engineer preferred
Experience with Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, and Confluence is highly preferred
Experience with using, developing software, and creating scripts on Linux is highly preferred
* Full-stack web development experience preferred, including expertise with Angular, Cesium, JWT Authentication, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.

Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
