Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Scrum Master - 7814-1. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.
Provides oversight of the Agile framework to ensure operational excellence in product deliveries. Provides guidance and helps educate the team in Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, and Scaled Agile framework (SAFe), ensuring that the Agile process is being followed. Helps remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. This job code is intended for use for those performing Agile duties full time.'

Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Problem Solving
Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Discretion/Latitude
Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results.

Basic Qualifications
• Sr. Principal Scrum Master: 08 Years with Bachelor's, 06 Years with Masters, 04 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship with Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and special program access
• Minimum of 2-3 years of specific experience working as a Scrum Master or in an Agile coaching role.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
• Background in Earned Value Management (EVM) practices in Agile environments to monitor project performance and progress effectively.
• Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Experience in fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams and supporting team development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address team dynamics and process issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and team interactions.
• Experience coaching teams on Agile practices and helping them fully adopt the Scrum framework.
• Experience using Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) to track progress and manage backlogs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Able to obtain DOD Top Secret security clearance within two years
• Active SAFe Agilist and/or Scrum master and/or Product Owner certifications
• Strong leadership, experience building agile teams; excellent written and oral communications skills; emphasis on drawing, modeling and communicating systems engineering
• Ability to provide total system perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components for a project
• Qualified candidates possess a demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing environment
• Prior experience supporting various classified environments and meeting government and security requirements including SAP, JSIG, JAFAN 6/3, STIG, RMF, ICD 705 and DFARS
• Any technical experience with SAP, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Engineering Solutions, Product Line Engineering, TeamCenter Enterprise, Mobile Applications, Extranet Solutions, or Collaboration Solutions
• Knowledge of two or more of the following technical domains: software, IT infrastructure, network, security, business analytics, mobility, virtualization, cloud technologies"
Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
