Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.We are looking for a Senior Principal Quality Engineer to work on our team in our Linthicum, MD full time.
Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

Works as a partner with cross functional groups to apply and maintain the AS9100 quality management system at ATL: fab, test, and assembly areas. Encourages and utilizes continuous improvement to better site operations and help internal and external customers of ATL.
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Implements the Quality Management System at ATL using audits, corrective actions, preventative actions, and other tools. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Needs to have an ability to work with microscopic product and develop a repeatable process with key stakeholders. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. Must have Top Secret Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors in STEM field and a minimum of 8 years in technical or fabrication work experience or a minimum of 6 years in technical or fabrication experience
with a Masters degree
Experience in a Quality Management System (ISO9001 or AS9100 preferred)
Experience as part of Root Cause Analysis or Risk Management teams.
Experience in a Semi-conductor Fab.
Experience with data analysis with experience in presenting data.
Experience working in cross functional teams
Experience with electrical and/or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
Experience working in a customer service role/function
Active Top Secret Clearance to start and to be considered
US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) process.
Experience with SAP
Green/Black Belt Certified in Lean Six-sigma.
SAP experience with Quality Notifications, Production Orders and Purchase Orders.
Experience with dispositioning product for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
Experience and/or with Earned Value and budgeting.
Experience and/or experience in support of proposals and quoting of Quality hours in bids.
Experience with MiniTab, Tableau, SPACE, or other SPC tools.
Experience with Continuous Improvement Projects
Experience working with and enforcing design specifications
Primary Level Salary Range: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
