Either a Systems Engineer can fill this position with a background/experience in Embedded Software Development or a Software Engineer with a background in Systems Engineering with experience/training and a desire to support the Systems Engineering for the Software Development Team on the AARGM or SiAW programs.

Essential Functions/ Requirements:

IPT Lead, Embedded Software, CAM, Test Procedures, C++, HW Integration, Programmable Logic, Test and Evaluation, Design and Documentation, Tech lead, SW Architect, SiAW SME, Aircraft Sim, SSC SME, , Vitis

Responsible for embedded software systems engineering products for their team, including developing software products

Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support

Supports the team that Maintains, debugs, bugs, and configures related software products

Works from specifications to develop or modify embedded applications

Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs

Work with SEIT organization to decompose system requirements to good software-level requirements

Work with SEIT organization to drive system concepts, CONOPS, and Sequences

Work with SEIT organization to develop / update system external interfaces. Perform software design

Software product-level use cases and sequences

Create and maintain software design

Algorithm Design Documents, Functional Design Documents

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2years of relative experience; Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0years of relative experience

Understands systems and software engineering processes and principles

Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions

Experience developing system and software engineering artifacts: Specifications, Interface Control Documents, System Architecture Descriptions, and Software Configuration Items

Software development experience developing applications

Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions

Understanding of standard system and system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams

Must have an active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Secret Clearance adjudicated within the past 5 years

Experience with missile defense systems including launch, targeting and fire control systems.

Knowledge of testing strategies in hardware and software

Hands-on experience with system/missile testing

* Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
