Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer experienced with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to join our team. This position would be based in Aurora, CO. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
The selected Cyber Systems Engineer will have experience with Cybersecurity implementations based on DoD, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies and guidelines. Candidates should be comfortable working in an Agile Development Environment employing Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD + 4 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph at time of application
Experience in planning and configuring enterprise-level security tools, including the configuration, installation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of Splunk, Rapid 7, Trellix, and SQL databases
Possess DoD IAT Level II Security+ Certification or higher
Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) System Security Engineering activities
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and requirements development from control listings
Proficient in managing multiple responsibilities related to the engineering and implementation of Program Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)/Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools
Capable of assessing the Program's system security posture in compliance with customer requirements and directives
Adept at adjusting commercial security methodologies and technologies within sensitive and proprietary customer environments in accordance with NIST 800-53
Experience with RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions, including documentation, scanning, assessment, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) management, and all steps of the RMF process
Preferred Qualifications:

DoD IAT Level III Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
Ability to integrate Cyber Systems Engineering requirements with Program System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) initiatives
Competent in identifying work requirements for SIEM/SOAR tools and translating them into JIRA tasks for agile tracking
Experience with automation techniques for SIEM/SOAR deployment into new environments (e.g., Ansible)
Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and developing technical proposals
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with employees and management at all levels.
Experience in configuring and deploying Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
Ideal Candidate will be able to create, review, and coordinate cyber security Co-Ops directly with customer representatives
Salary Range: $151,100.00 - $226,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
