The candidate will guide and mentor junior engineers in the science of nuclear weapon effects testing and/or analysis, utilizing analytical tools used to validate requirements. This position is located in Roy, Utah.

Additional responsibilities are as follows:
• Performs technical planning related to risks and opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Presents related technical topics at review boards, to integrated product teams, systems engineering and integration team (SEIT), and chief engineers.
• Train, mentor, and share knowledge with team members.
• Analog Circuit Card Assembly and box level testing
• Work closely with external test facilities to:
• Reviewing Statement of Works (SOWs)
• Coordinating test schedules and facility availability
• Approving supplier deliverables
• Design and build test circuits and test fixtures
• Ensuring accurate data collection
• Focusing on first time quality of test execution
• Developing test plans and procedures
• On site test execution
• Performing analysis on test results
• Incorporate test results into test report deliveries to the customer
• Presenting findings to the customer
• Perform Nuclear Hardness and Survivability (NH&S) analysis for electronics units, subsystems, payloads, and ballistic missile system
• Analyze radiation test plans and parts radiation test results for higher-level implementation in circuit degradation analysis.
• To include Total Ionizing Dose effects, Neutron Displacement Damage effects, Prompt Gamma Dose Rate effects, and Single Event Effects statistical analysis and modeling.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university.• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with a bachelor's in science; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with a PHD.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope OR Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
3+ years' experience in radiation effects testing, electromagnetic pulse testing (EMP) or environmental testing on electronics
1+ years' experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:

Have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in embedded hardware and software qualification testing for circuit card assemblies and lower level modules.
Design and test experience in more than one: Digital/Analog/RF technology
Familiarity with MIL-STD-1766
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to lead team and execute to program schedule
Weapon System experience (Minuteman III or similar military or industry experience)
Master's degree in electrical or nuclear engineering from an accredited institution

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
