Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a passionate Sr Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and support the Sentinel Program. This role will be based in Roy, UT.
The selected candidate will join the Command and Launch team as the lead manufacturing engineer. Responsibilities include:
Author & create Product Release Documents (PRD), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Work Instructions, PPP & BTP packages. Work with and coordinate with Global Supply Chain to move installation packages and related engineering documents through process flow to drive material procurement. Assist in peer reviews of design releases to ensure first time quality. Interface with cross functional internal & external teams and stakeholders critical to system deployment and installation. Oversee and drive progress using metrics and lessons learned. Author and assist in the creation of comprehensive & detailed work instructions for multiple system locations supporting system deployment and success.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be
substituted in lieu of a degree

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Must have 5 years of working experience in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems (PLM/ERP/MES)

Previous experience working manufacturing engineering on EMD/LRIP/Production Programs including Manufacturing Readiness maturity plans and CDRL development

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or in a manufacturing engineering related field

Previous experience in production for a military program

Previous experience on EMD projects

Prior experience with Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).

An understanding of Manufacturing Readiness Assessment's and establishing Manufacturing Readiness Levels per DoD customer requirements.

Experience working Designs into pre-production & production.

Experience with Siemens NX tools, Model based engineering, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages and other electronic databases.

Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high level review.

Demonstrated Project Management experience.

Salary Range: $107,800.00 - $161,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
