What You'll Get To Do:
As a Principal Information Systems Project Manager, you will be expected to take charge of multiple, complex projects that span across multiple functional organizations to drive our business objectives forward. In this role, you will lead and direct project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of IT and software projects. You will be responsible for preparing project execution plans and identifying the necessary technical and business resources. You will be a Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Digital Engineering Environment and Cloud Operations organization. Your strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical requirements. Additionally, you will stay current on advances in IT and software development, providing technical and analytical guidance to your team. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, MS Excel, and JIRA, as well as performance metrics analysis, are important.
As a Senior Principal Information System Project Manager, you will be expected to oversee large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion that span across functional organizations. You will implement strategic project management practices, engage with senior leadership, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements. You will be a Control Account Manager (CAM) for the Digital Engineering Environment and Cloud Operations organization. In addition to leading and directing project teams, you will prepare project execution plans and identify appropriate technical and business resources. Your extensive experience in enterprise-level project management, advanced knowledge of project lifecycles, and strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills will be vital. Staying current on advances in IT and software development, you will provide technical and analytical guidance to your team. Expertise in tools such as MS Project Server, Planview, and data visualization software like Tableau or Power BI is essential.

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer relocation assistance.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Information Systems Project Manager: 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 year with PhD. an additional 4 years of experience may be considered lieu of degree
Sr. Principal Information Systems Project Manager: 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. an additional 4 years of experience may be considered lieu of degree

Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a project or program manager
Experience as a Control Account Manager or Program Manager with robust Full Criteria Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience (labor, material, Subs, IWOs)
Experience with risk and opportunity management
Experience with contract actions and vehicles

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
