Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
What You'll Get To Do:
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager 2 to lead the Sentinel Program's Supplier Manufacturing Engineers (SME) in Roy, Utah. This position is supporting the development of the Supplier Manufacturing Engineering Home Room, Manufacturing Readiness Assessment (MRA) Team, and Change Request Help Desk. You will lead the onsite SME Team as a member of the Sentinel Manufacturing leadership team, interfacing with other Manufacturing team members, customers and suppliers. As the lead for this team of SMEs, you will be responsible for the timely execution of supplier capacity & capability assessments, MRA's, and responses to Suppliers changes supporting the Sentinel Weapons System, as well as managing the SME resources required to execute the SOW. The individual will have working knowledge of SME related processes for performing supplier capacity & capability analysis, reviewing manufacturing plans, reviewing the Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM), assessing supplier capabilities utilizing MRA processes as defined by the DOD MRA handbook as well as having the ability to assimilate / collate the metrics for internal and customer reporting, running the S/RCI Help Desk, and removing blockers to reduce RCI dwell time.
The following duties and responsibilities include:

Collaborate with the Sentinel Weapons System Manufacturing Lead to assess SOW requirements for the execution of Sentinel program requirements related to Supplier Manufacturing Engineering for the various element build and delivery teams.
Develop and co-ordinate accurate and executable resource plans, assist with creation of Integrated Master Schedules, work plans and associated status tracking metrics
Provide guidance and direction for the team of Manufacturing Engineers who are executing the SOW requirements
Collaborate across the SME & ME Teams to ensure consistency in the use of Digital Engineering processes, tools and methods for accomplishing the development work leading to Production
Develop team members for growth in work scope capability and job satisfaction
Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program opportunities for improvement and obtain solutions as applicable
Conduct assessments of team member's performance related to team and individual goals
The candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, and to have the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with varying levels of Customer, NGC, Supplier employees and leadership
Experience leading the team to perform at cost and schedule while achieving all requirements.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field and a minimum 6 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Current Active DOD Secret Security Clearance with investigation date/periodic review within last 5 years
At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Demonstrated management experience leading a technical and complex program effort.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing production schedules and high delivery rates
Preferred candidate will be a proven leader; problem solver; possess a strong work ethic; and have excellent communications and interpersonal skills required to work closely with teammates, stakeholders and both internal and external customers.
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Manufacturing Engineering, processes and procedures.
Knowledge and experience with Production Planning functions
Experience working with Common Product Lifecycle Management (CPLM)
Experience working with Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
Experience working with Manufacturing Executions System (MES)
Experience working with Standard Request for Change and Information (SRC/I) Tool.

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
