Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division is seeking a Contracts Manager 3 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals as an Operating Unit Contracts Manager.
Sentinel is in the development stage of modernizing the ground-based leg of the strategic nuclear triad, which is the bedrock of U.S. national security. At a current contract value of $13.3B, Sentinel represents one of the largest and most high-profile Northrop Grumman programs, with countless career and growth opportunities. This position will report to the Sentinel Business Unit Contracts Director and will be located at Roy, UT or Colorado Springs, CO.
Roles and Responsibilities

Act as a strategic contractual leader managing a team of Professionals, and providing guidance to compliantly achieve company and customer objectives.
Provide advice on contractual risks, liabilities, and obligations; devise, recommend and implement creative and innovative solutions and negotiation strategies.
Navigate complex contractual issues; develop productive relationships with customer counterparts.
Abide by the highest ethical standards for personal conduct and provide the requisite leadership to ensure compliance with Northrop Grumman ethical standards and requirements, and company policies and procedures.
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 8 years in contract administration/management or related field; Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or a High School diploma (or equivalent) and 12 years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
Requires 3 years of experience in a formal management position
Requires experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements
Requires experience with pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations
Requires experience with advanced proposal strategy, contract formation and customer relationships.
Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications

Current, active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Experience leading a graphically diverse team
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Contracts processes and procedures

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $133,400.00 - $200,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
