We are seeking either a Principal Systems Engineer or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our talented team as a MAR (Mathematical Algorithm Requirement) Lead. This position is located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA.
This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding.
In this role, you will lead the efforts defining the SDD/MAR implementation for phase 1B while performing the following tasks:
Defining development roadmap for SDD needs in support of the Software demo schedule.
Coordinating with SEIT Lead and SW Lead to define Maturity of SDD Deliverables.
Working closely with SW and SE Team to define requirement to SDD mapping.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience, or Master's in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 0 years of relevant experience
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's in STEM with 6 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 3 years of relevant experience
Active TS/SCI clearance required at the time of application
Familiarity with MAR (Mathematical Algorithm Requirements) Development for a Ground System
Experience working with software-based systems
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings to program leadership and customers
Preferred Qualifications:
Working level knowledge of CAMEO
General knowledge of Ground SW Systems and ground segment architecture
Experience writing Interface Control Documents (ICD)
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Excellent technical writing and team building skills
Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
