This role is located in Falls Church OR Dulles, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

Mange and define requirements for systems and subsystems
Implement systems engineering approach for design and architecture of aircraft ensuring product being delivered aligns with customer needs
Oversee performance analyses to ensure data products are being collected necessary for requirement sell off
Collaborate with test and air vehicle disciplines to create wind tunnel and flight test plans
Perform trade-off studies to balance competing requirements and make informed decisions
Responsible for leading a team of engineers and subject matter experts for integration of subsystems into a complete aircraft system
Support technical development, architecture, and integration of emerging capabilities across Research and Advanced Design division
Ensure aircraft design meets all relevant safety and regulatory standards through its lifecycle
Serves as technical contact with customer contact for key technical decisions

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 3 years of related professional/military experience
Must have an active DoD Top Secret/SCI or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company.
Must have knowledge of payload technologies (ex. Radar, Weapons, EO/IR, EW, Communications, Cyber, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering tools and processes
CI-Poly clearance
Demonstrated leadership skills leading a successful team to develop new technical capabilities
Working knowledge of government networks, architecture, and data flows
Understanding of DOD & Intelligence Community (IC) organizations
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across customers and programs.
Experience supporting new business and/or expanding the product line with multiple Customers
Experience supporting preparation of proposals, proposal work statements and specifications, and other associated artifacts in support of capture activities
Experience in multi-domain C5ISRT data integration and analysis
Experience in leadership successfully building and managing active contracts
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple managerial and technical tasks simultaneously with a broad span of control.
Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
