Senior Principal Project Manager - Level 4

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

This position oversees and manages the facilities projects, construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program, and other customers.
Act as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activities.
Gather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
Plan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
Coordinate with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
Prepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
Review and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs.
Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Manage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Forecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, Schedule and Scope.
Produce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required.
Identifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customers, and contractors.
Basic Qualifications for Level 4 Senior Project Management:

A minimum of high school diploma or GED and 11 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 6 years of experience.
Knowledge of construction related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly too present technical approaches and findings.
Work with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assemblies quickly and efficiently.
Prepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services.
Prior work experience in facility layout, engineering, electrical, mechanical, HVAC design, plumbing, hydraulics, dynamics, and/or control systems and project management.
Must be able to independently manage multiple projects.
Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Understanding of the change management process.
PMP Certification.
Professional writing skills and the ability to communicate with various levels of leadership to include presentation skills.
Proficient in MS project, Microsoft Office software applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience with; the design and construction of cleanrooms, design and construction of classified facilities, fire and security alarms and systems and remote monitoring, energy management systems, electrical systems and high-voltage electricity/substations and reliability engineering.
Knowledge of building codes, ADA, local, UFC Criteria, FED OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.

Primary Level Salary Range: $92,900.00 - $139,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
