The successful candidate will partner to shape and execute talent-development strategies aligned with business and workforce needs, lead a group of OE consultants, partner with HR and senior leaders on leader, team and organizational effectiveness, and design and deliver performance-enhancing solutions and transformational change initiatives that support the company's strategic goals. This full-time position will report to the Director, Organization Effectiveness for Space Systems, and will be based out of our Space Systems Headquarters in McLean, VA. The incumbent will be based in the DC, MD, and/or Virginia area, and have the ability to get to those locations as necessary. (Some telecommuting/hybrid schedule will be acceptable)
Key Responsibilities:

Build a high-performing team of Organization Effectiveness consultants to assess leader, team and organization effectiveness and design and deliver solutions to enhance performance.

Act as a liaison to the enterprise talent team to shape the company approach to organization effectiveness and implement supporting programs and processes.

Drive continued learning and adoption of organization effectiveness best practices to enable business strategy.

Lead culture and organization change efforts to improve performance and employee experience.

Enhance employee experience and growth of key talent segments

Assess organizational challenges in partnership with HR and design and implement comprehensive solutions to enhance performance.

Design and facilitate leadership and team engagements, training, and other learning experiences, virtually and face-to-face.

Lead organization design initiatives, partnering with key stakeholders from assessment to implementation.

Create and deliver professional presentations to meet objectives for the engagement and audience.

Facilitate assessments to identify and address opportunities to improve leader and team effectiveness.

Consult with HR and senior leaders on best practices in organization, team and leader effectiveness, including culture and change.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required plus 8 years of relevant experience in HR or related field; or a Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. Will consider 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree requirement.

Excellent leadership skills to drive team performance and create a positive employee experience.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leaders and influence across boundaries to drive strategy and approach.

Advanced consulting skills with the demonstrated ability to scope problems, recommend practical solutions, gain client buy-in, and deliver desired results

Demonstrated experience leading organizational interventions from assessment to implementation

Broad experience applying best practices in organization, team and leadership effectiveness to address business issues and enhance performance

Experience leading large-scale change initiatives to support business strategy

Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating leadership and team engagements to meet client objectives

Strong business acumen with a focus on how to use talent processes and tools to accelerate business results

Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels

Demonstrated aptitude for learning and flexibility to manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously, mitigate and escalate risk, adapt to shifting priorities, and navigate ambiguous situations

Excellent facilitation and presentation skills in both virtual and in-person environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)

US Citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Organization Development or related field

Certificate in coaching or certified executive coach

Prior experience as an internal or external consultant in a complex, matrixed organization

Prior experience in Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness or Talent Management roles

Prior experience with and/or certifications in common assessments and models related to organization development and leadership and team effectiveness

Experience working with highly skilled technical talent

Primary Level Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $239,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
