The ideal candidate will support the various functions of the Quality and Mission Assurance organization. This role is an extension to the Mission Assurance Engineering function. Candidates will be required to have high organization and communication skills, investigating and problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
Quality Control Technician 3 will enforce Quality Assurance Program Plans for flight and development hardware programs addressing design, manufacturing, integration, inspection and acceptance test activities in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Work as a member of the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, Advanced Weapons Business Unit Mission Assurance staff in various groups to address technical issues, meet program requirements and ensure mission success. Interface with customers, and with Integration & Test and Engineering organizations to identify and resolve mission/flight assurance issues. Provide support to Mission Assurance Management in review of various activities including ensuring AS9100D compliance through site policies, procedures, and practices.
Key Job Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Monitor and manage nonconforming material.
Perform First Article Inspections IAW AS9102.
Ensure calibration of tools and test equipment.
Conduct or support internal audits, process observations and area assessments.
Investigate internal audit-related findings and help coordinate activities to resolve issues.
Provide Mission Assurance oversight of production processes and supporting activities.
Execute Safety and Quality Assurance programs, procedures and controls ensuring that products and services conform to company standards of excellence.
Adjudicate and process preliminary and final dispositions for product and service non-conformances.
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Mission Assurance policies and procedures.
Process non-conformances and issue and manage Corrective Actions Requests.
Review and approve production documentation (assembly instructions, MOs and rework instructions).
Provide oversight in receiving inspection activities of supplier provided material as required.
Interface with and support DCMA activities including audits and Government Source Inspection (GSI).
Provide Mission Assurance oversight at the Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake as required.
Basic Qualifications for a Quality Control Technician 3:

High School diploma or equivalent, and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Experience reading engineering documentation and inspect to drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions.
Experience in communicating with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite) and ability to learn new computer programs.
Working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) IAW ASME Y14.5.

MES, Costpoint and TipQA experience.
Current IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications.
Current/active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient with AS9102 and AS9100D Aerospace standards.
Proficient with nonconformance handling and corrective action processes.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to lead inspection teams in day-to-day tasks.
Salary Range: $59,300.00 - $98,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
