Northrop Grumman's Launch Vehicles is seeking a Project Management Professional - Level 2 to join our Classified Area team in Chandler, AZ. The successful candidate will influence the direction of the classified area activities to meet the company's strategic objectives. This role will operate independently to balance programmatic needs to deliver results in a classified work environment.
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
In this job, you will:

Lead Projects with cross-functional teams to meet closed area requirements including facilities, security, and hardware/ software needs

Ensure successful execution of Closed Area operations.

Create operational efficiencies that improve Closed Area program operations

Clearly present technical approaches and findings for initiatives

Develop and drives solutions to complex problems consistent with organization objectives.

Serve as consultant to management and customers on policies, plans, and objectives.

Manage program relationships to ensure all security requirements are met and in compliance.

Assist with resolving computer and network issues

Monitors IT tickets and raises issues that require management involvement

The Project Manager: Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Your Expertise - Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience (such as a background in Project Management or related military experience) -OR- Master's degree

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, granted or renewed within the last 6 years.

Strong experience successfully addressing technical project requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Must be able to perform occasional lifting up to 10lbs

What Sets You Apart - Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years

Project Management Professional (PMP) certified

Experience in leadership roles within the Aerospace and Defense industry, or within the military.

Experience leading IT projects

Experience in cybersecurity

Experience maintaining facilities for classified work

We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $95,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
