Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a highly motivated Programs Director to spearhead the development and integration of NGMS Programs Tools in support of our sector's program management initiatives. As a key member reporting to the MS sector Director of Program Management, this role plays a pivotal part in advancing program management development, execution, and culture within Mission Systems.
Location:
*This is an onsite role. Additional MS locations may be considered with additional travel to Baltimore required. * This full-time, on-site position is based at a Mission Systems campus in Baltimore, MD, or Linthicum, MD, with flexibility for travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic program management initiatives to drive our program management roadmap forward, overseeing a skilled program execution team.
- Take charge of the MS PrOP and Program Execution Framework (PEF) for program management and ensure the successful deployment of sector and enterprise-standard program management tools.
- Enhance program management rigor across MS sector programs and special projects.
- Oversee project milestones, monitor project plans, and identify and address challenges.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional leadership team to implement effective solutions, such as RCCA plans, resource allocation, or specification modifications.
- Establish and maintain enduring stakeholder relationships, supporting program managers and aligning program activities with strategic goals.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with 12 or more years of experience supporting Department of Defense, Government contracts, or project management in other industries. ; OR Master's degree with 10 or more years of experience supporting Department of Defense, Government contracts, or project management in other industries.

• 5 or more years of program execution experience, including development and production programs.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.
• Cross-functional team leadership experience.
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret Security Clearance; OR DoE equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
• Program capture experience.
• Non-Advocate Review experience.
• 2 or more years of experience managing a portfolio of programs or a program with annual sales of over $50M.
• Training and Development experience.
• DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• International business experience.
Salary Range: $207,400.00 - $311,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
