What you'll get to do:
Support program meetings daily with program management, manufacturing management, quality, and procurement.
Daily updates and reports on shortages, part replacements, backorders & other material challenges that could impact weekly customer deliveries.
Prompt Fulfilment of replacement material
Prioritize/Expedite "make" items in commodity areas to support program weekly customer deliveries.
Lead effort to ensure program aged WIP 60 days or less
Floor Counts and reconciliation
Work with stockroom partners and prioritize kits needed on the floor to support weekly deliveries.
Create rework work orders
Facilitate material transfers between projects when needed
Mentor, coach, and work closely with jr. production control team members
Ability to lift and move hardware when needed, some of which may weigh up to 30 lbs.
Capable of working weekends or extended hours if notified in advance
Maintains schedules for material requirements and availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control. Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments by production and shipping schedules. Assists in determining possible and actual shortages and may initiate action to correct these deficiencies. Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action. Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
The ideal candidate must have strong prioritization, interpersonal, and communication skills; pay attention to detail, collaborate across the organization, willing to learn new tasks, and have strong problem solving skills.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in a production control, inventory control, or stockroom role.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PPE experience.
Experience working on multiple projects and adjust priority changes within a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
4 years experience working in an ERP system.
Salary Range: $43,100.00 - $71,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
