The primary responsibility of the Principal/SR Principal Project Manager will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals. The Project Manager within the Lifecycle Product Sustainment and Customer Service Team is the primary customer point of contact for repairs, spares, services, and product upgrades for Navigation products. This role supports both Government and Commercial contracts, Foreign and Domestic customers.
What You'll Get to Do:
Manages all phases of program and project execution.
Manages schedule for repairs, spares, services, and product upgrades along with budgets.
Provides delivery projections to the customer along with frequent customer status reports.
Assesses product issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Communicates priorities for test and assembly and system test managers, material movement team members, quality inspectors, engineering, and shipping / receiving personnel.
Supports or leads proposal / work scope development and contract negotiations.
Communicates priorities for sub-tier supplier efforts and material purchasing.
Provides upwards reporting for senior management program reviews.
Participates in process improvement initiatives.
This requisition may be filled as a Principal Project Manager or SR Principal Project Manager.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Manager:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in managing projects in operations or logistics (i.e. cost, schedule, performance).
High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed.
Proven experience prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
Experience influencing and driving results without direct authority of personnel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as analytical, planning and presentation skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.
US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Manager:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience in managing projects in operations or logistics (i.e. cost, schedule, performance).
High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed.
Proven experience prioritizing and completing multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
Experience influencing and driving results without direct authority of personnel.

Advanced to Expert level MS Office Software Suite skills with emphasis on MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00Salary Range 2: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
