What You'll get to Do:
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Network Engineer to support our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in TCP/IP fundamentals, routing and switching, network design, firewall management, network security, wireless networking, virtualization, and cloud networking.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components
Implement and troubleshooting TCP/IP fundamentals within the network
Administer routing and switching protocols
Manage firewall configurations and security policies
Ensure network security protocols are up to date and effective
Set up and maintain wireless networking solutions
Implement and support virtualization technologies
Oversee cloud networking deployments and integrations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address network challenges
Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
Qualifications:
This position may be filled as a Principal Network Engineer or Sr Principal Network Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Network Engineer:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 1 year with a PhD
An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science Degree
Proficiency in TCP/IP fundamentals, routing and switching, network design, firewall management, network security, wireless networking, virtualization, and cloud networking
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Network Engineer:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience; or 6 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree; or 4 year with a PhD
An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science Degree
Proficiency in TCP/IP fundamentals, routing and switching, network design, firewall management, network security, wireless networking, virtualization, and cloud networking
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Clearance: Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher.
Preferred Qualifications

This position is contingent upon active Secret clearance and program award.
Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
