We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team supporting Cybersecurity Tools configuration and execution, as a Sr. Principal (or Principal) Cyber Systems Engineer. The selected candidate will bring extensive experience in Cybersecurity Tools implementations aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies, and guidelines. This experience will be leveraged to configure Cybersecurity tool sets to drive operations with the Programs' SIEM & SOAR enterprise implementations. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through configuration and application of Cybersecurity and network monitoring tools to assess network compliance and risk.
Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6-3), make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities.
Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. Interface with Government customers and Northrop Grumman leadership on program initiatives and deliver status updates. Maintain and lead multiple complex efforts with multiple stakeholders and drive Cybersecurity requirements in an effort to further program initiatives.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications:

Level 04, Sr Principal: Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' related experience, Master's degree and 7 years of related experience, or PhD with 4 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Level 03, Principal: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years related' experience, Master's degree and 3 years of related experience, or PhD with 1 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
DoD IAT Level II (Principal) or IAT Level III/IAM Level II (Sr. Principal) certification
Experience in planning and configuring enterprise-level security tools, including the configuration, installation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of Splunk, Trellix, and Tenable
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and requirements development from control listings.
Proficient in managing multiple responsibilities related to the engineering and implementation of Program Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)/Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools.
Capable of assessing the Program's system security posture in compliance with customer requirements and directives.
Adept at adjusting commercial security methodologies and technologies within sensitive and proprietary customer environments in accordance with NIST 800-53.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to integrate Cyber Systems Engineering requirements with Program System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) initiatives.
Competent in identifying work requirements for SIEM/SOAR tools and translating them into JIRA tasks for agile tracking.
Experience with automation techniques for SIEM/SOAR deployment into new environments (e.g., Ansible).
Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and developing technical proposals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with employees and management at all levels
Experience with RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions, including documentation, scanning, assessment, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) management, and all steps of the RMF process.
Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
