This position will be at our Morrisville, North Carolina site.
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
The candidate must have relevant DevOps experience and prior Agile Product Owner experience to join a small team as their Product Owner. The candidate, based out of our Morrisville, NC location, would also provide individual technical DevOps contributions.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 (principal) or a level 4 (sr principal), depending on the candidate's experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Basic Qualifications

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application

Must be willing to submit and successfully pass a polygraph

Minimum years of experience needed to be considered:

Level 3 (Principal)

5 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed bachelor's degree

3 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed master's degree

1 Year of relevant software engineering experience with a completed PhD

7 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed associate's degree

9 years of relevant work software engineering experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required)

Level 4 (Sr Principal)

8 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed bachelor's degree

6 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed master's degree

4 Year of relevant software engineering experience with a completed PhD

10 Years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed associate's degree

12 years of relevant work software engineering experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required)

Must have above minimum experience on the below:

DevOps Engineering experience including CI/CD pipeline deployment

Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab Pipelines, and Scripting

Experience with Terraform and environment initialization

Prior Agile experience in either a Product Owner or Scrum Master role

Prior leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

Active/Adjudicated Polygraph (CI or FSP)

Current and active Security+ and CISSP certifications

Prior engineering experience within the Space Industry

Excellent presentation, communication, technical writing, and organization skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience sharing knowledge via mentoring, coaching, or training others

Experience with developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab

Experience with deployment automation scripting using Helm or Ansible or related products

Experience troubleshooting virtualization, automation, and deployment applications such as Flux CD, Grafana, Athena, Prometheus, Karpenter or related products

Experience with Linux Operating Systems Preferably RHEL 8/9

Knowledge of basic networking principles (subnets, VLANs, routing, and firewalls)

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
