This role, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not provided for this role, which is on-site with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is the key component of the Missile Defense System. It is an essential operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control designated networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that offers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases.

C2BMC functions as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve performance. Furthermore, C2BMC is a vital part of all system ground and flight tests, which verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of the missile defense system.
This position supports the C2BMC program in Colorado Springs, CO. It is a mid-level role in configuration management, software, and web development, supporting the Tools Development and Management Lead and the IT teams. The lead oversees responsibilities, including maintaining existing applications and developing user interfaces and tools for internal use on C2BMC. Responsible for understanding documented requirements, implementing solutions, and conducting unit testing of the tools and code. Prior experience with DoD contracts, tools, and web development is highly beneficial.
Basic Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field is preferred from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a related field with 3 years of experience; or 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required to start
Must possess knowledge of web-based software development and user interface design
Experience with a framework for developing web applications, such as:
Angular or React

Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD)
Experience setting up Jenkins builds
Proficiency with software security tools, including HP Fortify and SonarQube
Experience with microservices, Swagger, and API definitions
Demonstrated use of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and configuration management (Git), Bitbucket

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
