Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Superconducting Process Integration engineer for our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Superconducting Process Integration engineer will be focused on Superconducting Electronics priority material with a focus being the voice of the lots to foundry leadership. The Superconducting Process Integration engineer must have an understanding of basic semiconductor processing from start to finish. They must have prior ATL on the floor experience and high familiarity with development Trip Tickets & technologies or the ability to quickly integrate into the process.
Individual must have excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. (Process Engineering, Equipment Eng, Line Maintenance, Process integration, Operations) #NGATL
The individual's Daily responsibilities will include:
-Single point of contact for priority movement with focus on identifying current or future roadblocks and engaging responsible parties to eliminate the barriers
-Being the voice of the priority WIP at the morning and afternoon operations meeting
-WIP status report on a 2-3x frequency per day
-Observationally identifying systematic velocity barriers

Basic Qualifications for Principal Superconducting Process Integration Engineer:
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Microelectronics, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or closely related technical major with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with an MS or 1 years with a PhD).

- Must have an aptitude for hands-on laboratory and experimental work.
- Must be comfortable spending up to 75% of their time in the cleanroom
- Must be an excellent communicator

-Must possess knowledge of semiconductor processing, especially in Back End of Line (BEOL) process integration.
- Must have an aptitude for hands-on laboratory and experimental work.
- Must be comfortable spending up to 75% of their time in the cleanroom
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Must have experience briefing technical information to senior leadership
- Must have prior ATL on the floor experience (or equivalent fab)
- Must be willing to work 1st shift (Monday-Friday) 6:30AM-4:00PM (9/80 schedule available).
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• Semiconductor processing, analog and microwave electronic circuits experience
• FEOL, BEOL, Far-BEOL semiconductor fabrication experience
• Superconducting electronics experience
• Direct engineering experience across multiple process areas
• Project management w/ diverse teams

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
