This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role you will play a key part in the setup, configuration and maintenance of engineering labs, ensuring they are fully operational to support testing and development activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in lab planning, maintenance, and test procedures.
Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Review and understand laboratory and system design(s)
Develop and present Test Readiness Review(s) (TRR)
Develop test procedure(s), perform dry-run(s) and formal execution in support of Acceptance Test Procedure(s) (ATP)
Support Integration and Milestone events
Responsible for daily Lab Operations assignments such as: test planning, lab scheduling, leading and/or support test execution events
Maintain configuration and Test Readiness of applicable system(s) and laboratory
Ensure the test readiness of test stations and assets for users by verifying hardware configuration and deployment of applicable software to the test station
Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) to maintain and validate test station software and hardware
Adhering to Northrop Grumman Corporation and SIT&E Lab Operation policies and procedures
Briefing/Communicating to management with regards to progress and status of system(s) and lab(s)
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Principal Lab Operations Cognizant Engineer (Level 3) OR Senior Principal Lab Operations Cognizant Engineer (Level 4) level based on the qualifications below.

Principal Lab Operations Cognizant Engineer (Level 3)

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the business, prior to the commencement of employment .
Professional experience interpreting mechanical and/or electrical schematics or drawings.
Professional experience with Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems
Senior Principal Lab Operations Cognizant Engineer (Level 4)

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with military training systems (Simulated or real)
Familiarity with test procedure development and execution
Familiarity with Test Equipment, such as digital multimeters, O-scopes, power supplies etc.
Basic understanding of networking and software operations
Familiarity with using scheduling tools, such as MS Project
Familiar with using Atlassian software suite
Familiarity with avionics systems, aircraft electrical systems, and/or Test Station Operations
Expertise ability for reading, comprehending, or developing schematic diagrams
* Familiarity with Electronic Principles, data bus protocol(s) (ex. MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, IEEE 1394)
Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
