Software Development Analyst, We Want You!
Northrop Grumman's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking an experienced Quality Management Systems Software Development Analyst to support and maintain unclassified systems and applications.
The role of the Analyst involves supporting application maintenance and updates, with a strong emphasis on SQL Server and Oracle database coding. Experience with the TipQA application is highly desirable, as the candidate will assist in transitioning from a client version to a WebUI.
Key responsibilities include analyzing, evaluating, modifying, configuring, testing, and implementing integration with enterprise-wide purchased systems such as Costpoint, SAP, and Workday.
The analyst will prepare application system specifications and plan, implement, and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, or maintenance. The candidate will provide server application installation, interface, maintenance, and monitoring, requiring basic HTML experience. They will manage existing tools built on SharePoint and must have experience within a Quality Management Systems, preferably TipQA.
Proficiency with Oracle and SQLServer databases and tools (like Toad) is essential, along with the ability to write and maintain moderately complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures or views. The role involves initiating Change Control Board requests, defining the impact of software changes, and ensuring the acceptance of software implementation deliverables.
The analyst will monitor license compliance, estimate the need for additional licenses, and coordinate renewals and acquisitions. They will troubleshoot data issues, manage and coordinate upgrades, submit and monitor vendor enhancement requests, create documentation, and perform training. Additionally, the analyst will coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure defect-free software implementations and work closely with business partners to understand their needs, facilitating process improvements within applications.
They will assist partners in defining the scope and objectives and gathering specific application requirements. The role also includes managing all aspects of improvement projects, including analysis of alternate approaches or technologies, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance. The analyst will create necessary documentation for new projects for both administrators and end users and will review, analyze, and evaluate code reviews for application integration.
This position may support virtual / telecommute work remotely done from a home office. This arrangement may be change or modified at anytime per business requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant technical experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM related field with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant technical experience is required
Two (2) years of SQLServer database experience is required
Two (2) years of Oracle database experience is required
Must have Quality Management Systems (QMS) experience (TipQA application experience is highly preferred)
Web application server administration is needed
Must have experience with implementation and maintenance of applications, as well as system administration and configuration
Due to the nature of the work being performed, compliance with U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR, is required
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Computer Science with 6 years of SQLServer and Oracle database work history, including 3 years of TipQA (QMS) application experience
Experience with Costpoint, SAP, and/or Workday
Collaborate and communicate with users and support personnel
Project management skills
Documentation control background

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
