Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is for the role of a Training Unit Project Manager to be initially at Edwards AFB, CA, with relocation to future CONUS locations upon completion of job training and site activations.
You will be responsible for:
Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing training projects, records management, scheduling, and serves as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and unit management supporting the Formal Training Functional Areas.
Managing status of projects, budgets, and schedules.
Preparing status reports.
Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers and customers.
Communicating status of projects to leadership, identifying and communicating risks and work issues to meet expected results and schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of relevant professional / military experience in Project Management, OR a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional / military Project Management experience, OR a Master's degree and at least 3 years of relevant professional / military Project Management experience,
Must have experience in Agile Methodology, Control Account Management (CAM), and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended alternate/second shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the company
Preferred Qualifications:
DoD Top Secret clearance.
Experience as a formal military or civilian training instructor.
Experience in military or civilian aircraft maintenance.
Experience in training content delivery and instructor methodologies.
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Project, Learning Content Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, or other related software suites.
Salary Range: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
