What You'll Get To Do: This individual will be responsible for performing full spectrum of parts management tasks on assigned system and sub-systems to ensure streamlined selection, approval and standardization of preferred or commonly used parts during the design of weapon systems and equipment under an overarching Systems Engineering framework.

Candidate will demonstrate ability to develop/maintain a bill of material, PPSL, PAPL, PAMPL and perform issue management through solution implementation.

Candidate will demonstrate a complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts relative to parts management.

Candidate will demonstrate general knowledge of Systems Engineering, multi-generational program system and/or multi-generational program subsystem development, and familiarity with supplier management.

Applicant is expected to work independently to provide innovative technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Candidate will create, analyze, and produce roadmaps, impact, and issue reports and present data to stakeholders, customers, and upper management.

Research specifications and standards to support Logistics and Parts Engineering processes.

Research technical, reliability and maintainability data for components using Government and commercial sources.

Review and evaluate engineering solutions, design, and technical data for parts impacts.

Follow Systems Engineering disciplines and processes. Assist in the Counterfeit Parts prevention process.

Applicant will be expected to maintain close coordination with several integrated product teams, provide detailed status to program leadership, participate in parts management technical interchange meetings, as required.

Candidate will be self-motivated, work under general direction, and work well in teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is essential.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree; 1 year of experience with PHD

Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Background in logistics, procurement, and/or obsolescence management

Can demonstrate understanding and knowledge of mechanical hardware and materials governing industry standards (ie. fastener types, nuts, rivets,)

Ability to locate and source mechanical hardware and material and make sourcing recommendations based off industry availability

Familiar with industry and MIL-STDs governing mechanical hardware and materials and impact on industry practices

Experience working with vendors on requirements and capabilities

Experience with bill of materials, predictive obsolescence tools, life cycle management tools and processes

Experience with Aerospace and Defense parts and obsolescence management

Experience with Government, Military and Industry performance documents (standards, specifications, etc.)

Familiar with Counterfeit Prevention processes IAW AS5553 and DFARS 252.246-7007,-7008

Familiar with Systems Engineering processes and disciplines (including nuclear hardness, nuclear surety and system safety)

Strong understanding of entire product lifecycle, modeling and engineering best practices

Understanding of process/procedure development, control and improvement

Experience managing PPSL, PAPL, PAMPL

Experience with Siemens Teamcenter, NX solid modeling

Previous experience leading a team in successful completion of projects

Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
