Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer/Sr. Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.*
This position may be filled by either at the Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer level OR at the Sr. Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.
The IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer is responsible for supporting Agile teams in providing effective mission system solutions. The RTE will engage with various stakeholders in establishing the IPT deliverables and the Definition of Done parameters. The RTE will provide oversight to the portfolio teams while completing tasks alongside team members during peak times in aligning with schedule milestones. This position pushes innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances within a diverse team of individuals. Candidate will interface with a matrixed, cross-sector geographically dispersed team and provide status updates within the team & leadership on a regular basis.
The IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer in this role will be responsible for interfacing with various teams in defining deliverable products while providing oversight of future initiatives.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Supporting and reporting to the MS Chief Engineer and MS Chief Architect with managing the Agile Release Train (ART)
Coordinating and aligning ART activities with the MS IPT strategic goals and program IFC Release efforts
Serving as a liaison between Company/Customer leadership, Product Owners/Scrum Masters (Scrum of Scrums), PID (Product Integration and Delivery) and other relevant stakeholders
Maintaining Increment and Sprint calendars that enable planning
Implementing PI planning events and monitoring progress, to include creating Score Cards and Dashboards
Monitoring the development and implementation of new capabilities and features
Identifying and managing bottlenecks and program Risks through resource allocation and collaboration across teams
The successful IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer will contribute to the Mission Systems IPT through:
Collaboration: Collaborate across teams to complete important project tasks.
Leadership: Responsibility for project performance across multiple teams.
Technical proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum concepts.
Analytical thinking: Use analytical thinking skills to solve complex problems within processes and help their teams minimize risks.
Business acumen: Good understanding of the program, IPT and portfolio objectives in which you operate and be able to align goals with business objectives.
Problem-solving and decision-making: Use problem-solving and data-driven approaches to identify and resolve issues and make informed decisions that align with the goals of the team.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer (T03)
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 1 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Knowledge and experience in Agile process execution
Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible)
Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing hardware and/or software for mission or flight avionics systems for airborne platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
Sr. Principal IPT Integration/Release Train Engineer (T04)
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Knowledge and experience in Agile process execution
Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible)
Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing hardware and/or software for mission or flight avionics systems for airborne platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment
Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed manner
Experience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level
Knowledge and experience of NGC Integrated Functional Capability process and approaches
Experience in model based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools
Experience in supplier/subcontract management
Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work
Ability to review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review

Salary Range: $114,900.00 - $172,300.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
