This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, which requires working on-site with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally, thereby enhancing overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is an essential component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the poise and flexibility needed to thrive in a highly dynamic environment. Applicants should have knowledge and practical experience working in a Unix/Linux environment. We will consider college graduates or new hires with a Master's degree or a Doctorate. The candidate must work on-site full-time due to the requirement to access a classified computing environment. We are seeking a highly motivated analyst to support the C2BMC-NT (National Team) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Product Team. The applicant must have a solid engineering background that encompasses various disciplines, supporting both conceptual and detailed system-level assessments, as well as a basic understanding of analysis techniques, planning, execution, and reporting.
Essential Functions:

Expected to provide technical expertise in missile defense (MD) modeling, simulation, and analysis
Depending on the particular skills of the successful applicant, duties may include one or more of the following:
Plan and execute performance analyses on C2BMC and its interactions with current and future MD Elements
Document analysis results in reports and briefings
Present analysis results to diverse audiences
Develop requirements for complex system models and simulations
Execute, test, and troubleshoot MD-level systems
Create extensive scale models and simulations
Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios
Create tools to support analysis and development in MATLAB and Python
Supply data to inform decisions on system and element representations and modeling parameters used in large-scale simulations
Collaborate with members of other C2BMC Product Teams
Engage with C2BMC leadership
Interact with MDA customers
Work with technical SMEs and leadership from other MD Element programs

Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

A Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a STEM related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a related field with 1 years of relevant work experience

Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Technical specialty areas may include, but are not limited to, the following:
radar design and performance
Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization/performance/modeling
simulation modeling of complex systems
Requirement and test condition decomposition

Preferred Qualifications:

A master's Degree in a Technical field is preferred
Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
Experience with a GIT environment is a plus
Discrete event simulation modeling
Data analysis with Python tools
MATLAB
Experience with tactical and strategic weapon and sensor message standards, alongside software development in a Linux and Agile environment using MATLAB, which is highly preferred
Python is strongly preferred, along with Java, Bash, etc.

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
