This position, in Huntsville, AL., or Colorado Springs, CO., plays a vital role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a crucial element of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to meet global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to enhance overall performance. Moreover, C2BMC is a vital component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.

The candidate will support the Regional Apps cross-functional product teams in Huntsville, focusing on developing and expanding automated tests run within the software development CI/CD pipelines during software updates and upgrades. The candidate will also take part in agile planning and execution activities.

Basic Qualifications:
Please include your current security clearance, IAT, or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Will be able to develop automated test plug-ins for integration into the software development pipelines of a mature, software-intensive system currently being upgraded to add new capabilities
Candidate skills should also include familiarity with DoD test methodologies, experience with automated test development and execution related to functional capabilities, as well as the ability to analyze automated test results and recommend updates to the software under test
Ability to develop plug-ins for testing:
Java
C++ or Fortran software and incorporate them into CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications:
A current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), at the time of application, is highly preferred
Experience with software development within an Agile framework preferred
Implementing mathematically intensive algorithms, messaging, and external interfaces, as well as simulating MDS systems
Prior experience developing automated tests for software-intensive systems operating in classified environments

Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
