What you'll get to do

The Test Engineer designs, develops, and implements testing methods and determines equipment capabilities and capacities as required to functionally test Microwave, Radio Frequency, and Digital microelectronics products.
Provides project management and technical oversight for test activities including resources, budgets, and schedules with milestones.
Coordinates with a team of test technicians to implement and improve test processes.
Works with Systems and Hardware Engineering to support the development of new products.
Develops and refines test procedures.
Evaluates and monitors manufacturing and test data to identify defect trends, and work with Manufacturing Engineering to resolve any issues.
Provides dispositions for non-conforming products and materials and processes the related Quality Notifications to completion.
Develop and refine automated test software. Lead Continuous Improvement projects and present them to executive management.
The ideal candidate will have a solid business acumen; strong technical skills; a demonstrated high level of attention to detail and quality; strong quantitative and analytical skills; strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present concepts and ideas to upper management; demonstrated success in working in a team environment, with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other STEM related technical discipline with 5 years of experience; Master's Degree with 2 years of experience; OR 9 years of continuous experience in lieu of degree.
RF design or RF test background with hands on troubleshooting experience.
Experience with test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, noise figure meters, oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
Experience reading and/or interpreting 2D and/or 3D drawings.
Experience prioritizing and adjusting tasks to accomplish the project result.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Testing methods, procedures and product quality.
Experience with a variety of industry standards (including but not limited to IPC-610, J-STD, 7711/7721, MIL and ANSI).
Experience in composing process documentation, i.e. test procedures.
Experience in data analysis and development of performance metrics.
Spreadsheets and database collection (i.e. Excel; Access) experience.
Programming experience with Lab View, Visual Basic, and C++.
Experience with mechanical and electrical manufacturing/production processes.
Experience with Siemens Team Center.
Experience with SAP ERP2.
* Experience with Tableau.
Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
