We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Test Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Systems Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll Get to Do:
The Systems Test Engineer should have a hardware test focus (digital, analog, and RF), and experience with COTS Test Equipment. The candidate will support the development of NG Communications, Navigation, and Identification Systems. As a system integrator and tester, the candidate will work with equipment that is involved in automation using National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW, TestStand, and LabWindows/CVI software. The selected candidate will work in the technical environment involving RF, Digital, Analog, Network interfaces, and Database Command/ Control during the system development and Integration and Test on programs.
This position will require onsite work.
Travel: 25%
Part-Time or Full-Time status will be considered.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the requirements below.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Test Engineer:

5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD; may consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:

8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD; may consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Prior team leadership experience.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems and Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:

Candidate must have experience in the field of Systems Engineering, System Integration and Test and/or program management.
Candidate must have familiarity with common RF test equipment (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope)
Candidate must be proficient with test system calibration
Candidate must understand systems integration and test process.
Candidate must have knowledge of engineering process, be proficient in process development as well as functional organization aspects.
Candidate must have a current/active DOD secret clearance to be considered
Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Candidate should have hands-on experience with DoD Communications Systems.
Candidate should understand RF Communication test techniques.
Candidate has worked with Communications, Navigation, and Identification Systems, Wireless Communication Systems, and RF Communication test techniques.
Candidate should have knowledge of real-time embedded communication systems.
SAP clearances are highly preferred.
Knowledge of software-defined radios and associated waveforms.
* Confident and clear communicator with prior direct customer engagement experience.
Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
