We are looking for a self-starter who is able to work with minimal direction, with strong oral and written communication, a strong sense of accountability and interpersonal skills, and who is able to successfully collaborate across organizations and functions to meet common objectives.

What you'll get to do:

Ensures contractual program requirements are flowed down internally to ensure compliance with customer contract, industry, and organizational requirements.
Ensures verification and validation requirements have been met.
Maintains close engagement with the various functional departments to obtain program success
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and maintained. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the acceptability of products.
Reviews program and engineering work products to ensure robustness and compliance to procedures, work instructions. AS9100, and industry regulations.
Supports tracking and reporting program metrics, including monthly Quality Assurance Framework on applicable programs
Identifies and engages in program specific risks and issues to ensure quality design, efficient build and test, as well as On-Time Delivery.
Present at Quality and Mission Assurance and Program briefings.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction while collaborating with the compliance team
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Office Applications especially Excel, Word, Power Point and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Engineer Quality:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline with 5 or more years of experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role; Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent STEM discipline with 3 or more years of experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role.
Experience working in an environment with a certified QMS.
Experience and technical knowledge in quality specifications and standards.
Experience in basic problem methodologies.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an electronics assembly manufacturing environment.
ISO 9001/AS9100 and internal auditing experience.
Experience working with government contract requirements; FARS and DFARS.
Experience reviewing and approving engineering changes, deliverable documentation, process changes, in accordance with documented processes and procedures, etc.
Experience supporting the cost estimating and proposal process; developing and maintaining standards, BoEs, etc.
GD&T experience.
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) Standards and Publications (e.g., IPC 610, J-STD 001, etc.) experience.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification or experience.
Active Secret clearance.
Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
