Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position, and this role requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key part of the Missile Defense System. It provides an essential operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability that delivers an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a critical component of all ground and flight tests that validate and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The C2BMC Trainer will be responsible for developing training materials such as computer-based training, instructor guides, operator manuals, and assessments of learning. They will also conduct training sessions for MDA and warfighter users in C2BMC application operations and missile defense C2 operations-collaborating with the C2BMC National Team to define requirements and keep training plans and materials current. Additionally, they will prepare plans, internal communications, and briefings for the Training team and C2BMC program leadership. The trainer will represent the C2BMC National Team to MDA and warfighter users during field training or train-the-trainer programs.
Essential Functions:

The candidate has experience with the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system or similar C2 systems
The candidate demonstrates the technical ability to become a system expert in C2BMC mission applications and interactive training system design/production for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and warfighter users of the C2BMC system

The candidate possesses excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Basic Qualifications:
Please include your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 25% to support training courses are required
Must have experience working in adult education, focusing on curriculum design and instruction
Must have previous experience designing and developing interactive training systems using the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), and web-based learning - specifically for government or military C2 systems
Must have proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including trainers, software engineers, and other disciplines, on a software development contract
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with applications used to create web-based and classroom training materials, such as Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop, Articulate, and MS Office Suite, is a plus
Highly sought-after specialties in adult learning include experience in developing training content for web-based and/or computer-based training that supports simulation for large-scale software-intensive systems

Primary Level Salary Range: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
