Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Services organization, within the Service Delivery area, has an immediate need for a Network Monitoring Technician to join the Enterprise Event and Outage Management team. This team of professionals is responsible for providing IT monitoring services for the Northrop Grumman United States Network (NGUSN) and various international networks. The candidate would be responsible for monitoring the Global NG Enterprise infrastructure & services, working within the incident management process, performing initial diagnosis, and driving service restoration to meet the defined service level commitments. This includes internal and external support team engagement, coordination, and communications. This position will also be responsible for coordinating the resolution of IT related outages and issues with external service providers. The Enterprise Event and Outage Management team's goal is to manage major incidents in a timely manner by engaging support teams, notifying affected customers, and tracking the progression of resolution.

The Enterprise Event and Outage Management team is a 24x7 operations support model and requires on-call availability and supporting a variety of shifts, including holidays and weekends. Shift assigned for this position will be based on staffing needs and will change based on future support requirements. This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 2 years of related experience OR Associate's or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline.
Knowledge of network infrastructure topologies, devices and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to solve problems by utilizing training, knowledge, tools, and analytical skills.
Organized, self-starter that has superior customer service skills and pays close attention to detail.
Ability to establish and manage bridge calls for incidents and outages.
Ability to coordinate and lead outages and events providing effective oral and written communications.
Strong attention to details - driven to prevent errors.
Ability to grasp complex information quickly and effectively research additional information is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Ability to provide translation of incident communications from technical details into non-technical summarizations.
Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills.
A strong commitment and proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment is paramount.
Must be available and willing to work any shift, 1st/2nd/3rd, including weekends.
Must be willing to provide on-call availability to cover any shift 24x7, and provide coverage for PTO and Holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree Preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Experience working with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated application of ITIL practices.
ServiceNow Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
ServiceNow ITOM Tools and AIOps Operator Workspace.

Primary Level Salary Range: $49,400.00 - $82,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
