Northrop Grumman Chief Information & Digital Office (CDIO) is seeking a senior level Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Software Developer (experience level 3 or level 4). We prefer that the employee work on site from the Northrop Grumman Allegheny Ballistics Laboratory (ABL) campus, located in Rocket Center, WV. However, other work options (including virtual work options) may be considered.
NOTE- This position will require routine business travel to support the Elkton, MD facility (travel up to 25% or ~13 weeks per year).
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Author integrations between iBASE-t Solumina (G8R2) and SAP S4/HANA ERP which replicate current business process or existing integrations from Solumina to Costpoint ERP
De-customize existing Solumina (G8R2) solutions to approach a more out of the box configuration which still meet the business process requirements. This includes a knowledge of the Solumina code base, product processes, methods and philosophies to bring the customized instance closer to an off the shelf type of product
Support Solumina G-Series (G8) to iSeries transition, including defining business processes and new software capability, implement and manage integration API elements using software configuration management practices
Analyze, enhance, install, test, and modify enterprise-wide software systems
Develop requirements, workflow, and perform systems analysis
Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities
Deploy code updates in Development and Test environments for user testing
Establish standards for the development and maintenance of new and existing products or the merging of databases across multiple Northrop Grumman site locations
Provide real time gathering of inputs from the manufacturing work centers, document and track each item to closure within the requirements of change control process
This role is typically designed for software development with a minor amount of system administration or data analytic responsibilities
Responsible to prioritize work, perform work independently and within a team. Ability to receive guidance from senior technical teammates
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, meet with team members and users to develop solutions
Represent the organization to other business groups, provide sound technical understanding and commit to performance within the margins of the system capabilities
Experience providing technical solutions consistent with organizational objectives and business processes
Knowledge of software verification processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis

Must be able to share a rotating schedule for 'on call' support over nights, weekends, and holidays with other team members

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
To be considered minimally qualified for a level 3 position, you must meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have either a Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 5 years of experience as a Software or Applications Developer; OR must have a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline with 3 years of experience as a Software or Applications Developer
Must have experience with Full Stack Java development (i.e.; Java, JUnit, Java EE, Swing)
Must have work experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Must have experience with either Solumina, iBaseT, Deltek Costpoint, or SAP (preferably SAP S4/HANA)
Basic Qualifications for a level 4:
To be considered minimally qualified for a level 4 position, you must meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have either a Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 8 years of experience as a Software or Applications Developer; OR must have a Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline with 6 years of experience as a Software or Applications Developer
Must have experience with Full Stack Java development (i.e.; Java, JUnit, Java EE, Swing)
Must have work experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Must have experience with either Solumina, iBaseT, Deltek Costpoint, or SAP (preferably SAP S4/HANA)
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 6 years of experience as a Software Developer in an aerospace environment, using the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) application tool iBase-t Solumina, and have experience in software integrations between iBase-t Solumina (G8R2) and SAP S4/HANA ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
Experience with Database queries and Data mining using an intermediate level SQL
Ability to analyze and validate the performance and validity of interfaces and supporting system software to specified system requirements
Experience with Relational databases (Oracle, SQLServer) including packages, procedures and functions
Web Server administration (Apache)
Network Protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/FTPS, TCP/IP)
Knowledge of programming (e.g. Python or JAVA) and Kubernetes framework
Understanding of software INI, UDV, SQL libraries and familiarity with version control systems like Git/Bitbucket
Experience with ERP systems preferably SAP S4/HANA
Basic understanding of configuration management, process flow and general manufacturing processing standards
Familiar with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and best practices in server management
Experience as a Web application developer is preferred
Experienced with JaxWs, Restful services experience
Experience with HTML, HTML 5, CSS, JQuery, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON
Experience with frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms (e.g. Eclipse, VsCode)
System integration experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
