This position will support the B-2 value stream in the forming, coating and assembly of the tailpipes.

The selected candidate will provide critical support in a complex composite and assembly processes, working closely with Operations, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Scheduling and Maintenance. Our goal is to minimize downtime on the production line by troubleshooting, problem solving, and proactively identifying areas of concern.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and possesses both strong written and verbal communication skills. He/she should enjoy collaborating with others of varying backgrounds and roles, including but not limited to Operations, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality, in a fast-paced environment to solve time-sensitive problems. Responsibilities:
Collaborate within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop and implement process improvements as well as support site initiatives
Author, modify, and audit shop floor electronic work instructions (EWI) and MBOMs
Perform root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to permanently eliminate defects
Troubleshoot production/equipment/program/tooling issues and implementing improvements and solutions
This role may be filled at a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications below
Basic Qualifications:
Manufacturing Engineer Level 2:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field with 2 years of experience in the following engineering filed; Manufacturing, Aerospace, Project Management, Industrial, or Process Engineering OR Masters in STEM with 0 years of experience in mentioned fields.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
Experience with knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Principal Manufacturing Engineer Level 3:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field with 5 years of experience in the following engineering filed; Manufacturing, Aerospace, Project Management, Industrial, or Process Engineering OR Masters in STEM with 3 years of experience in mentioned fields OR PhD with 1 year of experience in mentioned fields.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Program Access within a reasonable period, as defined by the company to meet its business needs.
Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience with reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
Experience with knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Knowledge of composite hand layup, assembly, or coatings processes
Experience using Siemens NX or similar CAD software
Experience reading and understanding 2D drawings
Experience using SmartMES or similar
Demonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
Experience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.
Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specifications
* DOD secret clearance or the ability to obtain a DOD secret clearance.

Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00Salary Range 2: $86,600.00 - $130,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
