Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2/3 to join our team. This position will be supporting our Nozzle Value Stream organization in the Machining and Fabrication group located in Promontory, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Tooling assembly/disassembly

Operating equipment

Component surface preparation, including anodizing, contamination removal and deburring

Drilling

Assembly

Responsible for quality of the product by performing both in-process and final part inspections

Care and maintenance of the equipment

Assuring tooling and materials readiness

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritize

Excellent time management skills

Ability to work independently, ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment

Initiative, self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence

High energy, results oriented, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player

Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:

2+ years of manufacturing experience

Must be willing to perform shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

Must possess a valid state driver's license

Detail-oriented and meticulous.

Able to pass a respirator FIT test

Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.)

Able to read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation

Perform basic math and measurement functions

Read and interpret blueprints

Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

High School diploma or equivalent required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

4+ years of manufacturing experience

Must be willing to perform shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

Must possess a valid state driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Metal surface finishing hands-on experience

Knowledge in Anodize/Alodine Processing

Safe handling of hazardous materials

Operation of industrial equipment such as cranes, forklifts, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)

This position's standard work schedule is a 4/10.
Primary Level Salary Range: $43,100.00 - $71,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
