Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Launch Systems Manufacturing and Integration team is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager 3 to lead our Chandler, AZ based Major Subassembly Work Cell, Thermal Protection System Cell and Integration & Test Technicians. This position will lead a cross functional team to include Staffing, Scheduling, and Demand Management. This cell is responsible for mechanical assembly of large rocket structures to include Interstages, Attitude and Control stages, and other Mechanical activities. This position will report directly to the Director of LV Manufacturing and Integration.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages:
All non-classified Integration and Test activities to mechanically assemble large avionics assemblies and other rocket structures and conduct acceptance testing.
Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) cell applying TPS to various flight structures
Mechanical and Electrical Technician pool for integration activities at Launch Vehicles
Oversees day-to-day planning and operations for the work cells to include daily activity plans
Coordinates with managers and leadership from a cross-functional team to ensure all required support is available to execute daily plan, including Technicians, Engineering, Quality, Material Operations and Logistics.
Develops solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
Knowledge and application of Lean Principles is highly desired.
Ensures Launch Vehicle Business Unit processes, procedures and standard practices are followed, including 5S, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Control, Tool Control, ESD, and Ordnance Handling.
Develops, maintains and analyzes monthly metrics to promote sound operational decisions, improve efficiency and eliminate waste.

Supports and provides input to functional managers in regard to employee performance.
Champions ongoing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree +8 years of relevant experience or Master's +6 years of relevant experience
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite
Must be able to exercise influence and lead team to success
Experience leading a team within Operations
Demonstrated effectiveness in managing internal relationships, prioritization, and delegation.
Must be detail-oriented but able to grasp the big picture
Microsoft Office Suite Experience including Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 10 years experience
Active DoD Security clearance of Secret or above
Knowledge and application of Lean Principles

Primary Level Salary Range: $133,400.00 - $200,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
