We are looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Operations Director based out of Woodland Hills, California. The position will focus on all facets of operations at our Woodland Hills site.

The Woodland Hills Manufacturing Operations Director reports to the Navigation, Targeting, and Survivability (NT&S) vice president of manufacturing, and has direct responsibility for manufacturing (MFG) organizational performance at the Woodland Hills site. This position will have a dashed line relationship to the Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations in Salt Lake City in support of the Navigation and Cockpit Systems (NACS) Business Unit (BU). This role will require close coordination with Woodland Hills Operating Unit Directors, product lines, and programs to meet operational cost, schedule, and performance requirements of all site operations.
The Woodland Hills Manufacturing Operations Director will provide leadership, management and strategy to integrate MFG, GSC, and QMA as a cohesive operations organization supporting the Woodland Hills site, the NACS BU and NT&S division. The director leads the organization in support of the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Strategic Plan, and provides leadership and guidance for technical execution, process development, continuous improvement, safety, producibility, capacity and production planning, MTA/Capital/Facility planning, cost/benefit analysis, financial planning and execution, manpower planning and staffing, talent development, workforce engagement, and merit planning.

The ideal candidate will:
Have communication and presentation skills, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic leadership environment utilizing an Integrated Product Team (IPT) approach.
Be self-motivated and proactive, organized, and detail oriented.
Have prior senior leadership experience, demonstrated skills, and the ability to work effectively across functional boundaries and organizational layers from individual contributor through executive leadership
Have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic and high visibility environment.
Possess a working knowledge of financial management including project & process control and budgets, to include familiarity with DCMA, DCAA and FAR/DFAR regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of technical and/or engineering experience.
A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience.
Experience with industry and management methodologies focused on continuous improvement in manufacturing, such as ISO 9000, Total Quality Management or Six Sigma
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
5 or more years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either program/project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
Manufacturing leadership experience
Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 and AS6500
Experience with Agile and/or Six Sigma tools (ex. Scrum Master, Green Belt, Black Belt)
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools such as SAP and Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
Experience with proposals, contracts, intercompany work orders, earned value management, risk and opportunity management, and integrated master schedule processes.
Experience working across multiple disciplines (programs, mission assurance, global supply chain, subcontract management, design, manufacturing, test engineering, facilities, and safety) with a focus on product development and producibility.
Current active interim US Secret level security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
